White House Praises Saudi 'Commitment,' Forgetting Bonesaws and Yemen
The White House just announced Saudi Arabia's 'major commitment' to invest nearly $1 trillion in the US, as reported by RT. This glowing endorsement comes just years after President Biden vowed to treat Saudi Arabia as a 'pariah' state following the 2018 assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a killing the CIA directly implicated Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in. conveniently overlooks the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Yemen, fueled by a Saudi-led coalition that the US has extensively supported with weapons and intelligence. (Amnesty International, 2023). One might wonder if the moral compass of US foreign policy simply recalibrates its true north based on the prevailing flow of petrodollars. How many human rights abuses, or dismembered journalists, does
