White House Hides Economic Data, Not War Crimes
While the administration clams up about domestic economic health, the flow of taxpayer dollars to fuel foreign conflicts remains an open faucet. Conveniently, Congress managed to greenlight a massive $14 billion in fresh aid to Israel (HR 815, 2023) without so much as a hiccup or a shutdown delay. One wonders if the economic data would be released faster if it could be repackaged as 'defense
assistance.' The media reports this economic blackout with straight faces, failing to ask why crucial domestic figures are 'unlikely to be released,' yet funds for weapons always seem to find their way through any legislative blockade. (Priorities, anyone?) Perhaps the real job numbers would only highlight where our collective wealth is actually being invested – spoiler: not always in your
pockets.
