Western Media Discovers 'Scholasticide' is a Word, 8 Months Late
While Humza Yousaf bravely calls out the deliberate destruction of Gaza’s education system (where every single university has been damaged or destroyed), mainstream outlets prefer the comforting euphemisms. The UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination already warned in April that Israel’s actions could amount to scholasticide. Yet, our tax dollars keep rolling in to fund this
specific brand of 'self-defense.' Perhaps if Israel's lobbyists rebranded Gaza's schools as rocket factories, US politicians might finally acknowledge their obliteration. But since they're just schools, housing future doctors and engineers (the same ones our media rarely features), it seems Western policy is to simply look away and approve another arms shipment. How many more 'regrettable
incidents' before we admit the 'incidents' are the policy?
