Western Media Discovers Child Casualties, Omits 'Who' and 'Where'
The Telegraph highlights a "record high" in child casualties from explosive weapons, citing a new report. A sobering statistic, to be sure. What’s conspicuously missing, however, is any meaningful linkage to the primary battlegrounds or the identities of those deploying said weapons. One might wonder if these "explosive weapons" simply appear out of thin air, or if they're perhaps 'Made in USA'
and delivered to 'allies' without ever tracing their path to a child's shattered life. While the report focuses broadly on global figures, any honest assessment would acknowledge that a significant portion of these casualties are in places like Gaza, where Israel, heavily armed by the US (to the tune of $3.8 billion annually), has deployed overwhelming firepower. President Biden approved a $14.5
billion military aid package for Israel in November 2023, even as UN agencies reported soaring child deaths. How many 'record highs' does the West need before connecting the weapon to the wound?
