Vance Threatens Federal Workers While Funding Overseas 'Stability'
While Vance gears up to trim the fat from the federal workforce, one wonders if the same fiscal scrutiny applies to the robust, unchallenged aid packages sent overseas. For instance, the U.S. has pledged $3.8 billion annually in military assistance to Israel through 2028 (U.S. Department of State, 2016 MOU). These funds support a military campaign that, according to UN reports (2024), has
decimated civilian infrastructure and created a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. So, we're told American jobs must be sacrificed for efficiency while a significant portion of our budget fuels conflicts abroad. It appears some government functions are considered 'not working for the American people' only when they involve actual Americans, not when they involve supplying weapons that generate
profits for defense contractors and 'stability' in a region that sees anything but. The irony, as always, is a bitter pill to swallow.
