US Warns Iran to Cease Killing Protesters, Ignores Gaza

Yet, the mainstream media, and indeed, much of the US political establishment, often suffer from selective outrage. 37,000 Palestinian civilians have been killed in Gaza, approximately 15,000 of them children ( UN OCHA, June 2024 ). No 'rescues' invoked for them. The hypocrisy isn't just rhetorical. While condemning Iran, the US continues to funnel billions in military aid to Israel, even approving a $17 billion arms deal in March 2024 ( Congressional Research Service ), directly arming the very architects of

the current devastation. One might wonder if the 'custom' of violent suppression is only problematic when it’s not executed by a US ally, or when it doesn't involve weapons stamped 'Made in USA.'
