US Tensions Coincidentally Erupt Near Valuable Oil Reserves
The mainstream story hints at 'spiralling tensions with the US' as Caracas experiences 'explosions and smoke.' What they omit is America’s long and storied tradition of manufacturing crises in nations that dare to nationalize their oil. Just ask Iran in '53, Chile in '73, or any number of 'banana republics' whose democratic aspirations were deemed 'inconvenient' by Washington. One might wonder if
these 'tensions' are simply the usual prelude to a 'humanitarian intervention' conveniently timed with the desire for more readily available (and cheaper) crude. When US sanctions cripple Venezuela’s economy, then 'mysterious' explosions rock its capital, the ‘coincidence’ meter goes off the charts. It's almost as if 'US tensions' is a euphemism for 'covert operations' designed to destabilize
governments that don't play ball with Washington's energy agenda.
