Barrack, who chaired Trump's inauguration and advised on foreign policy, notably in the Middle East, claims the exchanges were 'minimal and innocuous.' This isn't the first time a Trump associate has been linked to Epstein.

The 'best people' often come with the most inconvenient connections, it seems. One might wonder if due diligence in D.C. now includes a 'minimal sexual predator' checkbox. Instead of focusing on the glaring red flags of individuals in power having ties to a known trafficker, the conversation quickly moves to the nebulous 'questions and concerns.' It’s the standard Washington playbook: acknowledge

the headline, then pivot. The actual implications—how such individuals ascend to positions of influence over critical policy, like Syria, or how deeply compromised the establishment truly is—remain conveniently undiscussed. The same establishment that can’t find where $6 trillion went in Iraq is also somehow surprised by these revelations. Or perhaps, they're not surprised at all. Just careful.
