US-Supplied Famine Continues in Gaza, Despite Truce

Al Jazeera dutifully reports that Palestinians suffer from hunger in Gaza, even during a truce, with the UN calling for 'unimpeded deliveries' of aid. What they casually omit is that this hunger is not a natural disaster. weapons approved for shipment by the Biden administration amidst these very famine warnings, as reported by Reuters in March 2024. One might wonder: how can a 'truce' exist when the core weapon – starvation – is still actively deployed? The suffering continues because the besieging power, funded by U.S. taxpayers, largely controls aid access. Referring to it as a 'race against time' for Gaza

suggests helplessness, rather than acknowledging that the clock is being purposefully held, or even turned back, by a system we actively enable.
