US Sells Nuclear Tech to Saudi Arabia, Forgets Khashoggi, 9/11
The United States, defender of democracy and human rights (citation needed), has conveniently forgotten its own intelligence reports implicating Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the brutal murder of Jamal Khashoggi in 2018. They also seem to have memory-holed the fact that 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers were Saudi citizens. Now, Riyadh gets US nuclear tech because... 'stability'? One might
wonder what price tag comes with such a selective memory, or how many more 'initial deals' it takes to justify arming regimes that routinely flout international law and human decency. This 'deal' isn't about peace; it's about cementing Saudi influence in the region, lining the pockets of defense contractors, and probably securing another photo op for officials who never seem to recall past
atrocities when there’s a new 'strategic partnership' on the table. The only question now is which American companies will profit most from the proliferation of nuclear capabilities to a famously stable and transparent government.
