This proposal, floated simultaneously while the US continues to block permanent ceasefire resolutions, seeks to establish a "Gaza Transitional Authority" overseen by other nations. This isn't the
first time US policy has manufactured a crisis, then presented itself as the solution: recall the 2003 Iraq invasion and subsequent 'nation-building' efforts. It appears the preferred strategy is to fund the destruction, then get international bodies to bear the cost and blame for reconstruction, all while maintaining plausible deniability. How convenient for a government that greenlights the use
of starvation as a weapon of war and then asks the world to deliver aid under fire. It's almost as if 'responsibility' is a concept only applied to non-allies.
