regime's brutal war in Yemen (fueled by billions in US arms sales, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute) continues to trap millions—not for social media posts, but for simply existing. The irony, as always, is deafening. So, one American's release from detention earns headlines, while the collective detention and destruction of a nation in Yemen, facilitated by
US-Saudi ties, remains a footnote. It seems freedom is only prioritized when it's convenient for a White House photo op, not when it demands accountability for devastating foreign policy.
