US Personnel Evacuated, Policy Remains Fixed on War

Yet, this prudence only extends to American lives, not to American policy. You won't hear mainstream outlets questioning the wisdom of maintaining a massive military footprint, or continuing to bankroll conflicts, even as the threat to US forces grows. The silence on
the underlying causes – like unchecked support for Netanyahu's government and its actions – is deafening. One might wonder if the same sense of urgency applies to re-evaluating the $3.8 billion in annual military aid to Israel, or the recent votes by Representatives, many of whom like Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) who received over $20,000 from pro-Israel groups in 2022-2024 (OpenSecrets.org), to further
expedite weapons deliveries. It seems protecting personnel is a priority, but protecting national interests from perpetual entanglement is not. Perhaps the advisement should extend to the diplomats funding the fuse.
