US 'Perfidy' Report: Convenient Outrage, Selective Memory
The irony here is thicker than a Pentagon budget. For decades, the US military and its allies, including Israel, have employed tactics that dance provocatively on the line of 'perfidy' and often cross it. Recall the 'humanitarian aid' convoys into Iraq that turned out to be recon missions, or the countless times unmarked aircraft have operated in sovereign airspace without consent. (One might call
that a 'disguise'.) The concern over a 'disguised plane' now is almost quaint, considering the known history of covert operations and false flag tactics used to destabilize regions under the guise of 'democracy' or 'security'. This sudden alarm over 'perfidy' conveniently ignores the playbook refined by Western powers themselves. When it's 'insurgents' or 'adversaries' using such tactics, it's
terrorism. When it's Western allies, it's 'strategic deception.' The real perfidy isn't just in the act, but in the glaring double standard with which it's reported and condemned.
