US Offers Climate-Killing Fuels to China, CITES 'Green' Principles

Energy Secretary Chris Wright, not one to miss a geopolitical greenwash, declared the US prepared to flood China with more oil and natural gas. This, of course, is contingent on China abandoning Russian energy, neatly pivoting a climate catastrophe into a strategic asset. Remember when the US was lecturing the world on climate change and transitioning to renewables? Apparently, those principles

are less rigid when an opportunity arises to both punish an adversary and boost fossil fuel profits. So, the 'rules-based international order' now means trading one carbon source for another, all while conveniently forgetting about the planet – and those pesky 'green jobs' promised for America. It's almost as if 'energy security' (read: profit for US corporations) always trumps 'climate security'

for everyone else. One might wonder when the next 'climate imperative' will be announced from the very same pulpit.
