The 'controversy,' they omit, stems from allegations that the GHF was a thinly veiled privatization scheme, diverting aid control and funds away from established UN agencies and towards private contractors, many with Israeli ties.
(One might wonder how "humanitarian" a "foundation" is when it keeps getting dubbed 'controversial'). This is Washington's well-worn playbook: acknowledge a disaster, 'study' solutions, then float a new identical 'solution' while the original problem persists—in this case, starving Palestinians. It's less a new plan and more a rebranding of complicity, reminiscent of rebranding 'ethnic cleansing'
