This is the same government whose sanctions starve nations, fueling desperation that often drives drug economies.
It's the same government that previously funded and armed Latin American factions (see: Iran-Contra affair, 1980s) whose activities directly contributed to the very drug pipeline they now valiantly bomb. We’re told these strikes are a necessary evil to keep Americans safe from foreign 'narco-terrorists.' Yet, when pharmaceutical companies push highly addictive opioids through legal channels —
poisoning millions and creating a domestic crisis — Congress responds with carefully worded condolences, not cruise missiles. Funny how 'terrorism' is defined primarily by latitude and the nationality of the perpetrator, isn't it?
