US Media Discovers 'President' Exists When There's a Jail Cell

The report neglects to mention that Maduro remains, factually, the sitting President of Venezuela, recognized by the vast majority of the world's nations. The US broke diplomatic ties
in 2019 after attempting to install its preferred puppet, Juan Guaidó, as 'interim president'—a designation now abandoned even by Washington. One might wonder if CBS plans to similarly arrest and jail President Biden every four years when a new election rolls around, just in case he loses but, you know, doesn't actually stop being president. The selective application of 'former' to
inconveniently elected leaders is truly an art form in American media, as long as it aligns with State Department talking points. Apparently, a president only becomes truly real to these outlets once he's in a made-for-TV U.S. jail cell.
