US Media Discovers Iran Exists, Again, After Endless Provocations
When the U.S. media spotlights Iran's 'belligerence,' they conveniently forget to mention the long history of interventions that might elicit such a response. From the 1953 CIA-backed coup overthrowing a democratically elected leader to crippling sanctions that starve its civilians, the narrative frames Iran as the aggressor while Washington maintains its right to 'weigh strikes' ( read:
potentially bomb another Middle Eastern country into oblivion ). This isn't just about Trump. Every consecutive U.S. administration, heavily influenced by think tanks like the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) and its donors, has pushed for confrontation. The same FDD, whose former board member Norman Roule advised the Trump administration on Iran , consistently advocates for hawkish
policies. So, when Iran says it's 'ready for war,' it's less a declaration of intent and more an exasperated echo to decades of America asking, 'Why won't you just roll over?' while holding a massive boot over their heads. Perhaps if Washington stopped playing global policeman, Iran wouldn't feel the need for a 'readiness' posture.
