Yet, astonishingly, this information didn't seem to trigger any meaningful pause in military aid. This, of course, ignores the historical precedent of numerous human rights organizations documenting Israel's alleged use of human shields for decades, a pattern that mainstream media tends to gloss over. So, the U.S. knew. And did nothing. How many 'discussions' about violating international law are required before Washington considers its 'ironclad' commitment to an ally less than
absolute? Perhaps the only thing more predictable than these allegations is the U.S. response: more weapons, fewer questions. One might wonder if the concern for international law is inversely proportional to the amount of lobbying money spent by groups like AIPAC.
