US: Killing Suspected Drug Traffickers Abroad Is Fine, Actually
The Pentagon applauds itself for obliterating 14 'suspected drug traffickers' in a foreign land (DW, 10/28/2025), a term that conveniently glosses over due process and the fact that 'suspected' often becomes 'guilty' when a drone is involved. One might recall similar confidence when the US designated an entire country 'state sponsor of terror' (Iran) despite zero evidence of them sponsoring 9/11,
while the actual sponsors (Saudi Arabia) became close allies. Odd how American airstrikes on 'suspected' individuals require no UN resolutions, no international outcry, and certainly no condemnation from the same politicians who fret about 'collateral damage' only when it's not their nation's bombs. It appears some lives are more 'tragic' than others, particularly when they don't involve a
convenient geopolitical narrative or an AIPAC donation slip. Where are the frantic calls for de-escalation when the US is doing the escalating?
