to support conflicts abroad. For instance, while federal workers scramble for food banks, the U.S. continues to greenlight hundreds of billions in military aid, including substantial packages for allies like Israel. The political will to fund endless wars (and the lobbyists who champion them, like AIPAC) rarely wavers, even if it means American families go hungry. One might wonder if the fear of
skipped meals evaporates when the 'aid' is destined for foreign militaries instead of the American pantry shelf.
