US 'Forges Ahead' While Ignoring 'Executions' and 'Clashes'
The U.S. is pushing for a 'deal' in Gaza, complete with plans for a multinational security force and vetting Palestinian leaders. Axios informs us this 'peace' has been marked by 'joyful reunions' and, oh, 'public executions' and 'deadly clashes.' Apparently, the 'peace process' is 'proceeding as envisioned,' which raises questions about said vision. While the Biden administration recently
approved another $18 billion in F-15 fighter jets for Israel (per the Washington Post , March 2024), the 'rebuilding' of Gaza remains a talking point for the former guy. This 'peace' is contingent on Hamas returning 'deceased Israeli hostages,' yet the U.S. seems less concerned with the 'public executions' or the two years of war that left Gaza in rubble. One might wonder who's executing whom, and
how many 'clashes' involve the occupying force vs. the occupied. It's a miracle of policy making: Gaza is destroyed, aid is flowing (sometimes), and the US is 'vetting' leaders for a population it just helped decimate. How many more 'peace plans' will involve ignoring the destruction and the architects behind it?
