This comes as Netanyahu's government continues its brutal assault on Gaza, with the civilian death toll recently exceeding 37,000, according to Gaza's Ministry of Health. (Funny how 'momentum' for peace always seems to
involve bypassing Palestine entirely, isn't it?) Perhaps the US officials touting this 'deal' could explain how Kazakhstan's involvement directly alleviates the humanitarian catastrophe in Rafah, or provides food for starving children in Northern Gaza. Or maybe, just maybe, these performative agreements are less about genuine regional stability and more about projecting an illusion of progress
while actively enabling ongoing violence. One might ask if the US is more interested in new headlines than actual solutions.
