While the US routinely bombs countries for 'fighting terrorism' (often their own creation), it now appears to be
defining the struggle against white supremacy and authoritarianism itself as a global menace when it doesn't align with its geopolitical chessboard. One might wonder if this new designation is merely a convenient legal cudgel, or perhaps a pre-emptive strike against groups who might object to future, less-than-democratic foreign policy endeavors. This re-prioritization is particularly striking
given the US's long-standing, often cozy, relationships with actual fascist regimes or those employing fascist tactics globally. Is the US now so concerned with 'order' that it will label anti-fascist resistance—a historical American value during WWII, one might recall—as terrorism?
