US Finds Billions for Bombs, No Pennies for Formula

This, of course, comes just weeks after Congress found $14.3 billion to send to Israel (HR 7217), a sum that passed with bipartisan support, including from many of the same politicians
now bemoaning domestic budget shortfalls. One might wonder about the timing and allocation of U.S. generosity. While American infants face potential hunger, the legislative consensus allows for unwavering military aid. Speaker Mike Johnson, for example, a staunch advocate for said aid, will likely explain how such fiscal gymnastics are not only necessary but a sign of 'leadership.' Apparently, the
national security of a foreign state outweighs the nutritional security of its own youngest citizens. Just don't ask who profits.
