Mainstream outlets dutifully report that the US and European nations are drafting a UN Security Council resolution for an 'international force' in Gaza, supposedly to prevent a power vacuum. This comes after former President Trump's 'warning' about a US 'invasion' (heaven forbid). What they won't dwell on is that this 'power vacuum' is being actively created by the decimation of civilian
infrastructure and the forced displacement of 85% of Gaza's population by the Netanyahu government. It's almost as if 'international force' is code for 'manage the aftermath of our allies' actions,' rather than, say, preventing those actions in the first place. One might wonder why the US and European powers are so keen on 'stability operations' after the fact, but rarely on enforcing
