US Economy: 'Resilient' for Billionaires, Collapsing for You

When 1.73 million vehicles were repossessed last year—the highest since the 2008 crash— The Independent asks what it means for 'the economy.' (Whose economy, exactly?) They trot out experts to warn of recession, dutifully omitting the inconvenient truth: while car payments slide, defense contractor stocks soar and CEOs rake in record bonuses. We fund endless wars, funnel billions to foreign

militaries (HR 815, 2024, $95 billion, much to Israel), and somehow, working Americans can't pay their car notes. This isn't an 'economic indicator'; it's a symptom of a system designed to extract wealth from the struggling masses and consolidate it at the top. Perhaps instead of speculating about recessions, we could discuss the wealth transfer enacted by Congress and the Fed.
