Mainstream media consistently omits decades of US intervention in Venezuela, pretending their 'acting president' – who is actually president Nicolas Maduro's Vice-President – is suddenly a global player. The U.S. famously (and absurdly) recognized Juan Guaidó, a random opposition figure, as Venezuela's 'interim president' in 2019, a move that failed spectacularly and destabilized the region. This
came after years of sanctions, coup attempts, and resource-grabbing efforts initiated during the Chavez era. So, when RT breathlessly reports Rodriguez's 'message' for dialogue, one might wonder if the US ever stopped interfering long enough to listen.
