collapses a complex web of motivations, local grievances, and strategic allegiances into a monolithic 'Axis of Resistance' solely controlled by Tehran. This simplification serves to legitimize a broader confrontation with Iran and its allies, despite the explicit stated reasons for Houthi action: solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza and pressure on Israel to cease its military
operations. Such framing also conveniently omits the historical trajectory of US military interventions in Yemen, which have contributed to regional destabilization.
