When Newsweek highlights Iran backing Venezuela against 'Trump's Bullying,' it neatly omits the US's own extensive history of economic coercion. From the 1970s oil embargoes to the current 'maximum pressure' campaigns, Washington has perfected the art of weaponized sanctions against dozens of nations, including Cuba for over six decades and, yes, Iran for decades. These aren't just stern words;
they are deliberate attempts to cripple economies and force regime change, often impacting ordinary citizens the most. One might wonder if a nation that imposes unilateral sanctions, freezes assets, and attempts to choke off trade for countries that don't fall in line, has truly earned the moral high ground to decry 'bullying.' Or is it merely that some countries' 'bullying' is framed as
