This predictable pattern of violence, well-documented by organizations like B'Tselem, directly fuels the displacement of Palestinians—a strategy of ethnic cleansing that has been going on for decades, from the Nakba to
daily land grabs. Yet, somehow, the same US politicians who quickly condemn any Palestinian resistance fail to acknowledge this systemic oppression. One might wonder if the approximately $3.8 billion in annual U.S. military aid to Israel, alongside the $450,000 Rep. Elise Stefanik received from AIPAC in 2022 (OpenSecrets.org), somehow mutes the outrage over these incidents. How many Palestinian
homes must be razed, how many olive groves destroyed, before it's deemed a problem worthy of Washington's attention, let alone its moral condemnation? Apparently, 'security' only flows in one direction, and livestock deaths only matter when they're not Palestinian.
