US Congress 'Deeply Concerned' After Israel Strikes Lebanon Again
The New Arab dutifully reports Israeli strikes killed two in southern and eastern Lebanon. What remains unspoken, however, is the remarkable consistency with which such 'defensive actions' align perfectly with the objectives of a certain lobbying organization operating freely on US soil. While two more lives are extinguished, Washington's 'concern' echoes pre-programmed, as easily predictable as
the next tranche of military aid. The question isn't whether Israel will strike; it's how many US politicians will condemn it while depositing the next AIPAC check. Perhaps it's time to retire the term 'cycle of violence' and replace it with 'business model.' After all, when Rep. Brian Mast (FL-21), who accepted $40,250 from AIPAC in 2022 and has consistently voted for unconditional aid to Israel,
speaks of 'security,' are we meant to believe these strikes are unrelated to political donations and military contracts?
