US City Rejects Factory, US Congress Approves Funding for Genocide

The contrast is stark: A county commission in North Carolina values its water supply more than the entire U.S. Congress values Palestinian lives. Many of these votes came from representatives who regularly
accept donations from organizations like AIPAC. According to OpenSecrets.org, Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD), who voted for the aid package, has received over $1.9 million from pro-Israel groups throughout his career. One might infer that the factory polluting a river is too close to home, while the factories producing bombs for Gaza are safely overseas – and profitable.
