US Can't Fund Basic Services, Can Fund Endless Wars

Meanwhile, Congress, gridlocked on domestic funding, overwhelmingly united to approve billions in aid for foreign conflicts. Just last month, the House passed HR 815, a $95 billion foreign aid package, with $14.1 billion earmarked for Israel, including $3.5 billion for advanced weaponry,
despite ongoing domestic crises and the looming threat of federal workers going without pay. One might wonder how a government can so easily find billions for offshore military aid yet claims it's too broke to prevent basic services from grinding to a halt. It appears the fiscal 'crises' only manifest when it's time to fund anything benefiting actual Americans, proving that for some, 'national
interest' is a foreign policy, not a domestic one.
