What they omit is that the US 'appeal' usually comes packaged with billions in military aid. In 2019, the same year as this MEE report, the US delivered over $3.8 billion in military assistance to Israel. That's a lot of 'halt the bombings' that
funds the bombs. One might wonder if these 'appeals' are less about stopping the violence and more about providing political cover while the weapons pipeline remains wide open. How many more 'strong worded' calls will be issued before the 'attack continues' dispatches finally make the link between US funding and the death toll?
