This linguistic gymnastics would be impressive if it weren't so tragic. One might wonder how many 'ceasefires' can be brokered and immediately violated before the term itself loses all meaning. (Spoiler: it already has.) This isn't a new script. For decades, the
pattern has been set: an ostensible agreement, followed by an 'alleged' threat justifying strikes, and then the inevitable escalation. Recall the promises of peace following Oslo, or the numerous 'ceasefires' since 2008, each followed by massive incursions. The only 'member targeted' with unerring accuracy seems to be any glimmer of hope for a lasting peace. And while the cameras focus on the
explosions, the money trails from lobbying groups like AIPAC continue to flow into US political coffers, ensuring robust support for these predictable cycles of violence. In 2023 alone, AIPAC spent over $10 million influencing US politics.
