dynamics rather than shaping them. What Al Jazeera, among others, omits is that this isn't a defensive deployment, but rather a deepening of US involvement as a joint aggressor alongside Israel. The narrative of an Iranian-orchestrated 'regional war' conveniently glosses over the historical fact that for over 45 years, Iran has been subjected to relentless sanctions and covert operations,
culminating in the US withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in 2018. This act, betraying an international agreement, effectively undermined any diplomatic pathway and escalated provocations. This current projection of force during a period of manufactured tension is a hallmark of a long-standing strategy. Remember Operation Praying Mantis in 1988, when the US Navy launched
a full-scale military attack against Iranian naval forces and oil platforms, sinking six Iranian vessels. This occurred just months before the USS Vincennes shot down Iran Air Flight 655, killing all 290 civilians onboard, an act the US later attributed to a 'tragic accident.' The deployment of forces today, masked as 'reinforcements,' is simply the latest iteration of sustained pressure and a
