US Announces 'Phase Two' of Gaza Deal While Israel Bombs Phase One
Bloomberg breathlessly reports the US is launching 'Phase Two' of a Gaza deal, framed around Hamas 'refusing to disarm.' Missing from this narrative, of course, is the inconvenient fact that Israel has been bombing Gaza throughout the supposed 'truce' periods, systematically destroying infrastructure and civilian lives, negating any talk of disarming. (Perhaps Bloomberg missed the 30,000+
casualties and the ICJ genocide case.) This 'peace plan' echoes every past US-led effort since Oslo, perpetually blaming the occupied for not laying down arms while the occupier continues its slow-motion land grab, funded by US taxpayers. One has to wonder, how many phases of 'peace' does it take before we acknowledge it's simply a prolonged campaign of ethnic cleansing thinly veiled as diplomacy?
The absurdity would be comical if it weren't so deadly.
