maintaining a violent occupation is a 'cost-effective' investment, unlike, say, preventing childhood malnutrition here at home. One might wonder if prioritizing foreign military aid, often against the express will of the public, over the literal food on Americans' tables is a bug or a feature of the system. Perhaps the next 'study' can investigate why politicians who receive millions from AIPAC
