US Aid to Genocide: $14B to Israel, $0 to Sudan

This urgent humanitarian crisis, arguably the 'world's worst,' struggles for international attention and funding. Meanwhile, the very same week this warning sounds, the U.S. House of Representatives passed HR 815 , sending another $14.1
billion in 'security assistance' to Israel. One might observe that the urgency for life-saving aid in Sudan appears to be inversely proportional to the political capital invested by Washington. Perhaps if Sudan's civil conflict also involved purchasing U.S. F-35s from weapons manufacturers (whose executives lobby extensively in DC) and featured strong backing from groups like AIPAC, they too might
secure a few billion. But alas, feeding starving children seems a lower priority against the backdrop of sustained regional destabilization, even if humanitarian crises are often the direct aftermath.
