that, notably, also cut funding for the IRS. The silence from politicians like Rep. Steny Hoyer, who received $20,000 from AIPAC in 2022, and Rep. Gregory Meeks, with $26,000 from AIPAC in the same cycle (per OpenSecrets.org), is deafening. They routinely vote to approve military aid and ignore the humanitarian catastrophe it fuels. One might charitably assume they simply missed the memo that
human lives, especially Palestinian ones, constitute a 'health and wellbeing' crisis. Or perhaps, the cost of an evacuation permit is simply too high when compared to the investment returns of weapons manufacturers.
