transfer to Israel, dodging congressional review with an "emergency" declaration—a familiar tactic. This echoes historical patterns where international bodies are called in to 'stabilize' regions after a powerful state has finished reorganizing them through violence, never questioning the root causes. How many times will an 'international community' step in to clean up a mess they provisioned?
This 'stabilisation' narrative conveniently glosses over the historical fact that Gaza was 'stabilised' into an open-air prison for decades, and UN resolutions condemning illegal settlements and the blockade, like resolution 2334 (2016), have been routinely ignored. The international community consistently calls for 'stability' instead of justice, effectively cementing the gains of aggression. It
appears the plan is less about Palestinian self-determination and more about ensuring the Israeli occupation can continue unimpeded, albeit with a fresh coat of international-mandated paint.
