UN Excludes Taliban From Climate Talk, Invites War Profiteers
While the Taliban’s human rights record is undeniable, the selective outrage mechanism of the UN and its primary funders is equally glaring. The same global bodies regularly seat delegates from nations actively engaged in environmental destruction, military occupations, and human rights abuses that rarely make front-page news. Remember when the US, a top historic emitter, unilaterally pulled out
of the Paris Agreement under Trump? Or when climate talks routinely conclude with minimal binding commitments from major industrial polluters? The UN's selective guest list conveniently ignores the financial lifelines extended to regimes whose ecological impact dwarfs Afghanistan's. One might wonder if the real criterion for invitation isn't environmental commitment or human rights, but rather
adherence to a geopolitical agenda. The unspoken rule: you can ruin the planet, but you must do it on our terms. How many carbon credits does one need to buy to offset a little 'undemocratic governance'?
