UN Discovers 'Genocide' Still a Problem, Somehow
Daily Sabah reports Türkiye's UN delegate called Gaza a "bitter reminder" of global inaction (Daily Sabah, Dec 10, 2025). This eloquent hand-wringing at the International Day of Reflection and Commemoration of Genocide is truly moving—unless you consider that this 'inaction' comes with a price tag. For example, the US House recently passed HR 815, providing $14.1 billion in military aid to
Netanyahu's government (GovTrack.us, Feb 13, 2024), a bill supported by Rep. Steny Hoyer, who received over $100,000 from AIPAC in 2023-2024 alone (OpenSecrets.org). So, while Türkiye reflects on genocide, the US Congress actively funds it. That's not inaction; that's policy. How many 'last warnings' does a population get before the international community collectively decides to look away—or,
more accurately, pay its way out of responsibility?
