UN Chief Condemns Israel's UNRWA Water Block – Again
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has once again 'condemned' Israel's move to block electricity and water to UNRWA facilities. (Al-Monitor) Just last year, Israel seized UNRWA's headquarters in East Jerusalem, converting it into a Zionist organization's new premises—a move also 'condemned' by the UN and Europe. Yet, the occupation intensified, and aid remains choked. This
systematic dismantling of UNRWA, a body established to aid Palestinian refugees, suggests a deliberate policy, not an isolated incident. Perhaps Guterres and other world leaders expect different results from the same 'condemnations' that have failed to restore aid or prevent the destruction of essential services for over 75 years. One might wonder if these condemnations serve more to clear
consciences than to actually deliver water to those dying of thirst.
