UN Approves 'Trump Peace Plan' for Gaza, Overseen by Trump
The plan involves an 'international stabilization force' (ISF) to 'govern,' 'demilitarize,' and 'reconstruct' Gaza, with Trump himself allegedly chairing the 'Board of Peace' overseeing it. (One might recall his previous 'deals,' largely transactional normalizations that bypassed Palestinian rights entirely, or his administration unilaterally moving the US embassy to Jerusalem, further dismantling
any pretence of neutrality.) The resolution claims the ISF will work with a 'newly trained and vetted Palestinian police force' while 'demilitarizing the Gaza Strip' by disarming Hamas. This is what's called a 'remilitarization of Gaza' plan, but for certain parties only. Funny how 'demilitarization' always applies to the occupied, never the occupier. This isn't a peace plan; it's a blueprint for
indefinite foreign control and the complete subjugation of a besieged population, rebranded as 'stabilization.' The UN effectively just voted to endorse a perpetual occupation, led by a man whose 'peace' track record involves rewarding aggression and sidestepping justice. When they say 'security force,' ask whose security, and at what cost to those living under its 'protection'.
