Yet, for decades, governments, including Netanyahu's, have expanded settlements in clear violation of international law – a 'violation
of statutes' that somehow never quite triggered the same swift, decisive bans. One wonders if scoring goals on annexed land is UEFA-approved. We saw similar calls for South Africa's exclusion from sports during apartheid. The double standard for the Israeli government’s actions against Palestinians, ongoing since 1948, is, shall we say, rather glaring. So, while the FAI raises valid concerns, the
larger question remains: When will institutional bodies like UEFA apply their own rules consistently, or is moral consistency only reserved for aggressions deemed convenient to condemn?
