U.S. Lawmakers 'Deeply Concerned' About Safe Zones They Funded

The mainstream narrative, as Al Jazeera illustrates, concerns the 'systematic destruction' of Gaza City and the plight of those fleeing non-existent 'safe zones.' What these reports often omit is how many of the very U.S. politicians expressing 'concern' also actively fund the military machine causing this systematic destruction. For instance, according to OpenSecrets.org, Senator Lindsey Graham,

a vocal supporter of the current Israeli campaign, received $18,900 from AIPAC in 2022. One might wonder if these 'systematic destructions' and 'unsafe safe zones' were discussed when Rep. Michael McCaul, who took $17,500 from AIPAC in 2022, voted in March 2024 to send an additional $14.1 billion in aid to Israel via H.R. 815. How many 'last warnings' does a population get before their 'safe

zones' become nothing more than marketing slogans for displacement? The pattern of 'flee here, now flee there' sounds eerily similar to historical tactics of land clearing, if one were to look beyond the headlines.
