Turkiye Wants 'Ceasefire,' Ignores Who Funds the War
Turkiye hosts a summit, lamenting 'ceasefire violations' while discussing international forces for Gaza. A noble thought, one might say, if the same international community wasn't simultaneously shoveling billions into the Israeli war machine. The U.S. Congress, for instance, recently passed HR 815, allocating another $14 billion in military aid to Israel, with nary a word about 'ceasefire
violations.' Many of those votes, coincidentally, came from figures like Rep. Steny Hoyer, who, according to OpenSecrets.org, received a cool $20,000 from AIPAC in 2024 alone. So, while diplomats convene for performative solidarity, the real power brokers in Washington continue to ensure there's always ammunition for another 'violation.' One must wonder: how many summits will it take to
acknowledge that a 'ceasefire' is rather difficult when one side is perpetually re-armed by its largest ally, effectively funded to ignore every international call for peace?
